The remote Northwestern Hawaiian Islands and surrounding ocean area is known as Papahānaumokuākea. The name acknowledges the union of the Hawaiian deities Papahānaumoku (Earth Mother), and Wākea (Sky Father), who gave birth to the Hawaiian Islands and its people.

Meet Patrick Ching and see his art of the special islands that he lived and worked on. Sea turtles, monk seals, fishes, sharks and more.

Kawika Kahiapo

Enjoy Sea Life Park After Hours with Grammy Award winning musician Kawika Kahiapo. Kawika performed the Papahānaumokuākea song which Patrick Ching wrote. You can hear the song and get Free Coloring Pages here at:

Paint with Patrick at Sea Life Park
September 21 and October 26, 11am-2pm

Patrick will draw your favorite sea animal and you can paint it. All ages welcome.

Enjoy information booths from conservation groups and learn what is being done to preserve our sacred places and wildlife.
